Terms of Service

Read this part if you read nothing else. TipsterVault is custodial: we hold your crypto for you, in wallets we control. You do not hold the keys. Crypto transactions are irreversible and cannot be refunded. Only keep an amount here that you would be able to lose without it mattering.

1. Agreement

By using the TipsterVault Discord bot or this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must also comply with Discord's Terms of Service, and you must meet Discord's minimum age requirement for your country.

2. What the service is

A hobby-scale custodial wallet inside Discord. You can hold, send, receive, tip, and give away supported crypto assets, deposit from and withdraw to external wallets, and claim small amounts from a faucet. We are not a bank, an exchange, a broker, or a licensed financial institution.

3. Custody, and what that means for you

Funds are held in wallets controlled by the operator, pooled across users.
Your balance is a record in our ledger of what we owe you. It is not a wallet you control.
If our keys were compromised, or the server were lost without a usable backup, you could lose your entire balance.
There is no deposit insurance, no compensation scheme, and no guarantee of recovery.
For anything you are not actively using, withdraw it to a wallet you control.

4. Transactions are final

Tips, transfers, airdrops and withdrawals are irreversible.
Sending to a wrong address, the wrong network, or omitting a required memo will usually mean the funds are lost permanently. We cannot reverse it.
We do not offer refunds, chargebacks or cancellations.
Check the address, the network and the amount before you confirm. The confirmation screen exists for that reason.

5. Fees

Tips and transfers between users are free. Withdrawals carry a per-asset fee, which covers the cost of sending on-chain and is retained by the service; on some networks that fee is quoted from live network conditions and so it varies. Deposits on BNB Chain, Polygon, Avalanche and Solana have the cost of moving the funds into the treasury deducted from the amount credited; the estimate is shown on the deposit screen. Swaps are executed against a public order book and include a service margin in the quoted rate. For withdrawals and swaps, the fee and the amount you will receive are always shown before you confirm; that displayed figure is what governs.

6. The faucet

The faucet is a free promotional feature. It is not an entitlement and may be changed, limited or withdrawn at any time.
One claim per account per cooldown period, and per IP address and device.
Using multiple accounts, VPNs, proxies, automation or any other means to claim more than your share is prohibited and will result in a ban and forfeiture of faucet funds.
We may require a minimum account age and an anti-bot check.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use the service to:

break any law that applies to you, or launder money;
evade sanctions, or use it if you are subject to applicable sanctions;
defraud, scam, or impersonate anyone, including us;
attack, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the service;
operate multiple accounts to gain an advantage, including in the faucet;
resell or commercialise access without our permission.

8. Suspension

We may suspend or terminate access, and withhold faucet rewards, where we reasonably believe these terms have been broken. We will not confiscate funds you deposited yourself; where an account is closed for abuse we will make a reasonable effort to return deposited balances, minus anything obtained through the abuse.

9. Availability

The service is provided as-is, with no guarantee of uptime. It depends on Discord, public blockchain networks, third-party data providers and a single server, any of which may fail. It may be taken offline for maintenance, or permanently, at any time. If we shut down deliberately we will give notice in the Discord server so balances can be withdrawn.

10. Not financial advice

Nothing here is financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Prices shown are indicative and come from third parties. Crypto assets are volatile and you can lose money. You are responsible for your own decisions and for any tax you owe.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or losses arising from: your own mistakes including wrong addresses or missing memos; compromise of your Discord account; failures of blockchains, Discord, or other third parties; unavailability of the service; or price movements. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud.

12. Your Discord account is your key

Anyone with access to your Discord account can move your balance. Enable two-factor authentication, never share your login, and never approve a login prompt you did not start. We cannot restore funds lost through a compromised Discord account.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top will change and material changes will be announced in the Discord server. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law in your own country gives you other rights.
